Chitsose Abe expresses the beauty in layering bold proportions for sacai's Fall 2018 women's collection. The perfect assemblage of masculine tartans, tweeds, palettes of cobalt, khaki and mauve and the balance between men's tailoring and the softness in feminine movement in its silhouettes play a focus in the collection. Influential guests including CLOT's Kevin Poon, Samuel Ross, Ace Harper, Akimoto Kozue, Yulia and Aleali May were also at the show. This latest women's collection parallels the similar aesthetics from the designer's recent men's Fall 2018 collection. The tribal flair within the brocades, knitwear and embroidered pieces along with striped combinations and an asymmetric mix of traditional outerwear silhouettes and hemlines presents sacai's unique unbalanced/balanced outlook to the season. Check out Karl Hab's snaps from the Paris fashion week show held on March 5.
