Suicoke x Marsèll: Suicoke for Haute Couture “Made In Italy” Line
Suicoke has always commanded a high price range for a reason. Functional outdoor sandals have always been the driving design element behind their shoes, made with premium quality materials to ensure a pleasurable experience during casual outdoor events. Slowly Suicoke began to appear in many stylists’ wardrobes, which allowed for collaborations with brands like Brain Dead, Nepenthes, BAPE, and Stussy. Now, Suicoke is a sandal that is comfortable to wear both during a casual walk in a forest and at a fashion show runway.
Founded in 2001, Marsèll is an Italian fashion house known for its luxury leather bags and footwear. Marsèll is unlike other high-fashion brands, creating handmade renditions of classic leather shoe silhouettes at their in-house workshop in Italy. Known for reimagining oxfords, brogues and boots, Marsèll is now bringing their premium craftsmanship on the casual yet popular Suicoke in a limited run of only 1000 pieces. The Suicoke x Marsèll collaboration is a landmark in high fashion, using the Suicoke Depa silhouette with a full, superior leather upper and a wide, serrated rubber sole. The collaboration features a moulded footbed, and the granulated sole is made out of recycled materials. With intricate stitching to compliment the base color of the shoe and both brands’ names printed in small text on the sole, it is clear to see the attention to detail Suicoke and Marsèll put in. The texture, quality and detail in the Suicoke x Marsèll sandal marks a new sandal for customers in the high fashion market.
Suicoke x Marsèll comes in light brown, blue and dark brown for $5910 HKD Available July 13 online and at JUICE Causeway Bay.
